AI in Dentistry Policy Paper
We are pleased to announce the publication of the EDSA Policy Paper on Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry. As artificial intelligence continues to shape healthcare systems and clinical practice, this paper highlights the need for structured integration of AI into dental education and practice. It addresses key aspects such as ethics, transparency, and student involvement, and emphasises the importance of preparing future dentists for an increasingly digitalised professional environment. The paper reflects EDSA’s position on AI literacy, responsible implementation, and the role of dental students in shaping the development and governance of emerging technologies. We encourage all members and delegates to explore the paper and engage with its recommendations.
